A circle of two ♭

No ETUDE sessions for this week

Hello everyone,

f:id:BFLAT:20130304152718j:plain

Sorry for the late notice, but there will be no ETUDE sessions this week for various reasons, one being the fact I just switched to wireless but the connection strength is too low to broadcast. I should have this issue resolved within a day or two, but there are a few other things I need to take care of, so I figured now is as good a time as any to hold off streaming.

I will still be practicing over the course of this week (just because I can't stream doesn't mean I can't draw), and hopefully things will be in order for next week. Thanks to everyone who has been updating Ref-Etude with more references, it's very much appreciated!

Ref-Etude Update

Say hello to the "Textures" folder!

I figured it would be helpful to have a stock of textures that could be used for either overlaying directly onto images, or being used as reference when trying to draw a texture (such as metal or wood).

I'm not entirely sure just yet how we should categorize them, but I was thinking something along the lines of:

  • "Stock" textures - high resolution textures that can be thrown onto enviromental drawings to give a more textural quality
  • "Pattern" textures - any texture that can be repeated to make a pattern
  • "Material" textures, to be used as reference when doing studies or trying to manually draw a texture

Not completely sure yet as the names might get a bit confusing, but this can be decided during tomorrow's ETUDE session. Let me know what you think!
